Victim Services & Programs

The Juvenile Division prosecutes minors under the age of 18 who have committed crimes. It also handles cases where children are the victims of abuse or neglect.  These cases are handled on an individual basis in which every effort is made to divert juveniles in trouble from crime and re-direct them to working toward education and becoming successful and positive adults. However, the District Attorney’s Office has made it clear that it will fully prosecute those who commit violent crimes, including juveniles.
